Overview

ShearShare, a Dallas, TX based mobile marketplace startup, is focused on connecting empty salon and barbershop space with licensed beauty professionals.

For two years the marketplace growth has been slow and the systems are silo’d. ShearShare was looking for a partner to help build their marketplace through data-driven growth.

The Strategy

Initially, ShearShare was looking to consolidate their reports into a single view. After a short project where we turned the data sources into a dashboard, it became evident there was more work work to be done. We put together a streamlined sign-up process for increasing mobile sign-ups and implemented it alongside “growth-marketing” experiments. In addition to the product marketing we brought in PPC expert, Rob Bunting, to eliminate PPC waste.

Results

ShearShare systems did not provide comprehensive understanding of where their investments were going. We implemented AppsFlyer, repaired MixPanel, and integrated their AWS server with HubSpot. These integrations along with the improvement/reduction in steps to register in the app created substantial market growth for ShearShare’s app.
